The ATL can accommodate requirements for contamination control and
electrostatic discharge (ESD) control.
Environmental conditions, including humidity levels in the ATL test chamber,
are maintained, monitored, and logged during testing and when critical test
articles are resident in the test chamber.
Humidification and dehumidification capabilities allow the ATL to maintain
conditions that support contamination control and prevent electrostatic
discharge problems.
ATL's testing procedures may also involve the use of grounding wrist straps,
smocks, gloves, and hair covers, as specified by customer requirements or by
ATL's policies for handling critical test articles, particularly fight hardware.
